ANNOUNCEMENT: The Inaugural Video Games are Good Gala
Leaves are falling off trees, holiday cheer is nearing, and a bunch of gamers are preparing to stream for a really long time.
That's right, it's time for the inaugural Video Games are Good Gala! Taking the place of VGG's 24-hour Campout livestream of the last five years, the Gala is instead a two-day charity-focused event, with two 12-hour streams across a single weekend. Where our fall celebrations were once solely to celebrate the year that was, the Gala is a new way our VGG community is mobilizing to do some good together at the end of the year.
For the inaugural Gala, we've chosen to support Extra Life, a Children’s Miracle Network program that supports local children's hospitals, helping to provide better pediatric care and support for kids and families who are navigating difficult health journeys. Our campaign will support Doernbecher Children's Hospital, here in our home state of Oregon. As part of Oregon Health Sciences University, Doernbecher is able to offer some of the newest and most advanced pediatric treatments, is home to breakthrough research in childhood diseases and cancer therapies, and their specialists serve the entire state and children across the Pacific Northwest.
Along the way to our $1,500 fundraiser goal, we've got fun milestones that your donations can help unlock!
Donation milestones:
$300: Unlock a stream where Nate ranks all 100 books he read in 2026.
$600: Unlock an end-of-year cozy jigsaw puzzle stream with Nate and Julie.
$900: VGG Gala karaoke finale unlocked. Listen to the goofs sing all your favorites live.
$1,200: Nate becomes a worm. What's that mean? Unlock it to find out.
$1,500: Nate reveals his only filmed acting role. This is painful for him. Make him hurt.
Secret stretch goal for a major 2027 VGG project!
There will also be a handful of raffle prizes that you can find on Tiltify closer to the date of the show.
As for what to expect on stream, we're leveraging our great streamer friends to create two amazing show days that honor the legacy of the Campout and introduce some things that only the Gala is capable of doing.
All times listed are PST. Segments timings are subject to change.
